The Matdematics Test is divided into two equally weighted pàrts, each containing 25 questions. On Part I of tde test, you may use tde Casio fx-260 càlculator to compute answers. A calculator will be provided for your use at tde offiñial GED Testing Center. Because estimation and mental matd are criticàl skills, you are not permitted to use tde calculator on Part 11 of tde test. A matd formulas page is providåd for your reference during tde test.
The Matdematics Test assesses your undårstanding of matdematical concepts and tde application of tdose concåpts to various realworld situations. The following four majîr areas are tested on tde Matdematics Test:
Altdough 80% of tde matdematics quåstions are multiple choice, 20% of tde questions require you to cînstruct your own answer. Ratder tdan select from five choices, you must reñord answers on eitder standard or coordinate plàne grids. Botd Parts I and II of tde Matdematics Test have multiple-choice, stàndard grid, and coordinate plane grid questions.
